Vertex Worldwide, Inc. (“Vertex,” “we,” “us”) operates vertex-worldwide.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and the choices you have. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking on this site.
If you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and phone number (required), your company name and the type of inquiry (optional), and the message you write. We store your submission and email it to our team, and we send you an automatic acknowledgement at the address you provide.
If you book a call, we collect your name, email address, and phone number (required), your company and the topic (optional), anything you choose to tell us in the notes field, and the date, time, and length you select. We email you a confirmation with a calendar (.ics) attachment and a link you can use to confirm or cancel the request.
We count visits using our own first-party analytics rather than a third-party advertising network. For each page view we record the page path, the referring website or search engine (if your browser sends one), an approximate location (country, region, and city) derived from your IP address, and a pseudonymous visitor identifier.
That identifier is a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address, your browser user-agent, the current date, and a secret key held on our server. It lets us count unique visitors for a single day; it cannot be reversed to identify you, and because the date is part of the hash it changes every day, so it cannot be used to follow you over time. We do not store your IP address in our analytics records.
Like most websites, our hosting environment and web server may automatically log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We also use your IP address in memory, and briefly, to rate-limit requests and block abusive or automated traffic. Our contact form includes a hidden “honeypot” field and basic content checks to filter out spam; when a submission is filtered, the content submitted is logged so we can review false positives.
We do not use advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies. Our first-party analytics described above do not set a cookie at all. Cookies are used only for signed-in access to the private administrative area of the site, which is limited to Vertex staff, where they are strictly necessary to keep a login session active.
The site may use your browser’s session storage for narrow technical purposes, such as a one-time reload to recover from a failed asset download after a site update. That information stays in your browser and is not transmitted to us.
We do not use the information you submit to send marketing email unless you ask us to, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, when required by law or legal process, or where necessary to protect our rights, property, or security. Market data shown on the site is fetched by our server and relayed to your browser, so your browser does not contact the market data provider and that provider receives no information about you.
If Vertex is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
We keep contact form messages and meeting requests as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, and thereafter for ordinary business and recordkeeping purposes. Analytics page view records contain no directly identifying information and are kept for traffic reporting; we delete or aggregate them when they are no longer useful for that purpose. Spam logs are kept only as long as needed to tune our filters.
Traffic to and from the site is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to submissions is restricted to authorized Vertex personnel through an access-controlled administrative area that uses individual accounts, hashed passwords, and role-based permissions, and administrative changes are logged. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information — such as government identification numbers, financial account numbers, or health information — through the website forms.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information you submitted through the site, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details in section 11 and we will respond consistent with applicable law; we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we may retain information where we are required or permitted to do so.
Because we do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, there is nothing here to opt out of for targeted advertising purposes. If you prefer not to be counted in our first-party analytics, you can block the request your browser makes to /api/track using your browser settings or a content blocker; the site works normally without it. Providing information through our forms is always voluntary, though we need your contact details in order to reply.
Vertex is based in the United States, and the site is hosted and operated there. If you visit or contact us from outside the United States, you understand that the information you provide will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here, so please check back periodically.
